Ben is increasingly in demand as a keyboardist and conductor throughout the UK. As an organ recitalist, recent venues include Worcester, Chester and Liverpool Anglican Cathedral with new dates coming in for 2019 when he shall be performing a transcription of Holst 'The Planets' amongst other things.
Graduating from Canterbury Christ Church University with the organ scholarship and performance prize, he then became Teacher of Music at Barton Court Grammar School, Canterbury. Consequently, Ben's professional practice as a private teacher has grown to fill the week, meaning evenings and weekends are dedicated to rehearsals and performances in various capacities including pop, jazz and musical theatre as well as classical.
Alongside his teaching, 2018 sees Ben embark on a Master of Music course in organ performance, focussing on the music of Jean Langlais and improvisation. In addition, he is preparing for the Associate of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO) examination with a view to progress into Cathedral work in the future.
Based in the idyllic village of Goodnestone near Canterbury, Ben lives with his two cats, Risoto and Espresso. Outside of music, Ben enjoys cooking and gardening, exploring the local area and travelling to experience culture.
